Improved Data Calculations in the School Data Dashboard

In response to feedback, we’re making improvements to the School Data Dashboard.

We heard that non-instructional days (days when schools aren’t using the platform) factored into the School Data Dashboard calculations. This meant data looked lower than expected when schools returned from school breaks and holidays. Now, we’re removing non-instructional days from the calculations so that the data can better reflect what's happening at each school and within each course.

For this update to be most impactful, platform calendar dates should be up to date. Please make sure to check your Calendar page to review and/or add all upcoming non-instructional days (days when schools aren’t using the platform). Learn how to update your calendar here.

What are non-instructional days?

Non instructional days are days when schools aren’t using the platform.

When is this change going to take place?

During Thanksgiving we will be piloting this change with a few schools. Schools that are in the pilot were notified by their SSM. After the pilot we will set a date for full launch and communicate to schools.
