Parents/guardians who do not have an email associated with their accounts will need to get their account login information from their student's school leader or teacher. School leaders can find parent/guardian login information individually from each student's page from Setup or in bulk from the parent export.
Parents/guardians who have an email associated with their accounts will receive a welcome email when their account is set up by the school. This welcome email includes a login button that they can use to log in and create their passwords. The login button doesn't expire until parents log in and change their passwords.
If a parent/guardian has forgotten their password, admins and teachers can reset passwords directly. Resetting the password will generate a new plain-text password that teachers/admins can send to parents.
To reset passwords:
- Click Setup from the left menu
- Click Students
- Type in the student's name and click the three circles
- Find the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) section
- Click Edit
- Click Reset Password
