Who owns the materials uploaded to the Summit Learning Platform?

As described in Summit Learning’s User Agreement, when schools, teachers, students and others choose to upload content such as education materials or school work into the Summit Learning Platform, they continue to own their materials and work and Summit Learning gets a license to use it to provide the Program.

  • Students, teachers  and/or schools own their created works, such as written assignments, projects, and presentations.
  • If teachers and/or schools create curriculum, resources, or projects inside the Summit Learning Platform, they own it. They can choose to share this curriculum content with other schools in the Program, or they can choose not to. It’s up to the teachers who create the content.
