Who owns the information in the Platform?

Schools, teachers, and students retain ownership and control of the information they contribute to the Platform and the related Services.

  • Schools control, and are responsible for, student information provided through the Platform. At any point, schools can request that Summit delete personally-identifiable student information.
  • Students and/or schools retain ownership of their created works, such as written assignments, Projects, and presentations.
  • Teachers and/or schools retain ownership over curriculum, resources, or Projects they contribute to the Platform and the related Services. Most teachers participating in the Summit Learning Program actively share content. However, we understand some teachers may not wish to share their content with others, therefore we give teachers the option to restrict sharing.
