Not any longer. Back in 2014, Facebook engineers played a role in helping improve the Summit Learning Platform. Summit Public Schools built an early version of the Platform with just one engineer, but thanks to the additional support from a dedicated team of Facebook engineers, the Platform was ready for use in schools across the country by 2015 - when the Summit Learning Program first launched. Facebook engineers continued to work pro bono at the direction of Summit Learning educators up until 2017, when the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative became Summit Learning’s long-term technology partner. Today, Summit Learning continues to partner with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Facebook does not have any access to data from the Summit Learning Platform or the broader Program.
