Does Summit profit from student or teacher work?

No. We offer the Summit Learning Program for free to schools. Summit will never sell student information or seek to profit from schools, teachers, students, or parents using the Platform or the related Services.

A hallmark of the Summit Learning Program is that teachers can adapt the curriculum and instructional resources within the Platform to meet the unique needs of their school communities. Teachers who contribute curriculum resources or projects give Summit permission to share that content with other schools under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License (which allows users to share and adapt the resource with attribution). Teachers retain ownership over shared content.

Most teachers participating in Summit Learning Program actively share content. However, we understand that some teachers may not wish to share their content with others, therefore we give teachers the option to restrict sharing. In addition, teachers (or their respective Partner School) can direct Summit to delete the content they have submitted at any time.
