Who has access to information in the Platform?

Summit places strict limits on who can access the Platform and the related Services. The following user groups have different levels of access to student information (e.g., individual, classroom, school) based on their role:

  • Students and their parents or legal guardians;
  • Teachers and administrators who directly support classroom instruction;
  • Summit mentors who provide coaching and support to school leaders.

Summit also works with service providers to operate and improve the Platform and the related Services. These providers have limited access to student personal information in order to perform services, such as software development, web hosting, and data analytics. All providers are required to comply with Summit’s Privacy Policy, ensuring they have rigorous security protocols and are prohibited from selling student information.

You can view a full list of third-party service providers here.
