Editing Focus Areas

How do I edit Focus Areas?

You can edit the details of a Focus Area from the Focus Area page:

  1. Click Edit Focus Area.
  2. You can edit the title, description and key terms of the focus area.  For math focus areas, you can indicate what kind of calculator might be allowed for students to use on the assessment.  You can also select different, or additional, standards and courses for the focus area.  Indicate whether you'd like to automatically accept changes made from the Base Curriculum and whether you'd like to share the focus area with other schools and districts.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Within each Objective, you can also edit or create new assessment questions and edit or add new resources.

Important Note: Once you edit a focus area and do not select to automatically accept changes made from the Base Curriculum, your focus area will not update when the Base Curriculum is updated.
