Teachers can provide feedback to their students within Notebooks in the form of comments. To learn about the Comment Bank, please see How do I use the Comment Bank?

How do I add comments?
- Give feedback on... allows you to add a comment
- You can choose which cognitive skill you are giving feedback on, or choose Something else
- You can Discard or Post a comment
- After posting, you can Edit or Delete your own comment by clicking the three dots in the upper right of the comment box
- Comments associated with removed text will appear on the right margin
- You can respond to another comment to create a comment thread
To leave an audio comment
- Open up a student Notebook in a project
- Click Give feedback on...
- You can choose which Cognitive Skill you are giving feedback on, or choose Something else
- In the comment box, click Enhance Feedback
- Click Add audio comment & click the icon to start recording
- Click the stop icon to stop recording
- You can click the play icon play your recording to hear it or click the trash icon to delete it
- Students can see and play the audio comment in their Notebook
To attach resources, activities, and external links to comments
- Open up a student Notebook in a project
- Click Give feedback on…
- You can choose which Cognitive Skill you are giving feedback on, or choose Something else
- In the comment box, click Enhance Feedback
- Click Add Resource, a side panel will pop up
- In the side panel, attach resources to your comment
- Add your comment and click Post.
- You can update the resources you attached by going back to the comment and clicking Update Resource

To insert rubrics into comments
- Open up a student Notebook in a project
- Click Give feedback on…
- You can choose which Cognitive Skill you are giving feedback on, or choose Something else
- In the comment box, click Enhance Feedback
- Click Insert Rubric Highlight.
- In the Cognitive Skill Rubric, highlight parts of the rubric, click Insert Rubric Highlight
- Add your comment and click Post
- To delete your inserted rubrics, you can click on the rubric and Delete on your keyboard
- You can update the rubrics you've inserted by clicking the three-dot icon and Edit
- To delete your inserted rubrics, you can click on the rubric and Delete on your keyboard
- Students can see the rubrics you've inserted in the comments
To view student responses to comments in Notebooks
When a student asks a question or replies to one of your comments in their Notebooks, you actually will receive a notification in the bottom-left corner of the screen, indicating that the student has commented or requested feedback on their assignment.
- Open up notifications in the bottom-left corner of the screen
- This is where you can find those alerts, along with requesting feedback and submissions of Final Products alerts
- Click on the notification to be taken to the Checkpoint or Final Product
