Assigning Math Units

Once you've created a Math Unit, you can assign it to any or all of your students. Note: Learn how to assign Projects here.

How do I assign Math Units?

Assign Math Unit

First: Assign End-of-Unit Assessment(s)

1. From the math unit, click “Assign End-of-Unit”
   • If you teach multiple sections, you can specify the section you’d like to assign in the upper right corner
2. Select the start date and due date
   • A short time span of less than 2 weeks will make the math unit small and difficult to find on student Year page
3. Select end-of-unit(s):
   • Click on the final product to select 
   • You can select "All" to select all final products
4. Select student(s):
   • Click “Assign All Students” to automatically assign to all students in the section, or check the box to the right of a student’s name to individually assign the unit to a student
5. Click “Next: Select Cool Downs to Assign”

Next: Select Cool Downs to assign

1. Select Cool Downs to assign to students:
   • To assign to all students, click “All Students”
   • To assign to students individually, check the box to the right of a student’s name 
2. To assign all resources and activities, select the entire Cool Down
3. Click “Close” or “Assign differentiated resource”

(Optional) Next: Assign differentiated resources 

1. Select Assign dropdown next to the resource  
   
   • Students with recommended resources will have “RECOMMENDED” next to their name. These recommendations are based on insights from Specialists on students’ Specialized Support Profiles and on Learners groups. 
   • 
2. Select resources to assign to students:
   • To assign to all students, click “Assign All”
   • To assign to students individually, check the box to the right of a student’s name 

3. Click “Close” to return to the Math Unit overview page

You can also assign differentiated resources to students from directly on the Overview and Plans page. To do so,

1. On the Overview or Plans page, scroll down to the Differentiation Resource section.
2. Select Assign dropdown next to the resource that you would like to assign. 
   
   • Students with recommended resources will have “RECOMMENDED” next to their name. These recommendations are based on insights from Specialists on students’ Specialized Support Profiles and on Learners groups.

3. Select resources to assign to students:
   • To assign to all students, click “Assign All”
   • To assign to students individually, check the box to the right of a student’s name
