Data Table Overview

Data Tables can be found under the Students tab of a course that you teach, or by going to Student Progress Views


Types of data available

All Teacher Data Tables include the following columns. You can use the drop-down menus at the top of the page to drill deeper to look at more specific data, or export the data you are looking at. 

Number of courses with an incomplete grade

In this column, you'll find the number of courses students are taking where they currently have incomplete grades. Incomplete grades are caused by overall percentage grades below 70%. Learn more about potential reasons for incomplete grades.

The number in large text at the top of this column indicates the number of students in this grade level who are passing all their courses and have no incomplete grades.

Courses with <70% cog skill average

In this column, you'll find the number of courses students are taking where they currently have Cognitive Skills averages below 70%. Cognitive Skills averages are based on scores that teachers provide when assessing Projects. Learn more about how Cognitive Skills scores are translated into percentage grades.

The number in large text at the top of this column indicates the number of students in this grade level who have Cognitive Skills averages of at least 70% in all their courses. You can click this number to see students' Cognitive Skills averages for each course, as well as students' Cognitive Skills scores for each course.

Courses with <70% Math Unit average

In this column, you'll find the number of courses students are taking where they currently have Math Unit averages below 70%. Math Unit averages are based on scores that teachers provide when assessing Math Concepts. Learn more about how Math Unit scores are translated into percentage grades.

The number in large text at the top of this column indicates the number of students in this grade level who have Math Unit averages of at least 70% in all their courses. You can click this number to see students' Math Unit averages for each course, as well as students' Math Unit scores for each course.

Courses with overdue Projects

In this column, you'll find the number of courses students are taking where they currently have overdue Projects. Overdue Projects are Projects that haven't been submitted before/on the Project's due date.

The number in large text at the top of this column represents the number of students in this grade level who have no overdue Projects in any of their courses.

Focus Area progress

In this column, you'll find the number of Focus Areas students have mastered, as well as the number of Focus Areas in which students are off track. Green indicates Focus Areas students have mastered, while red indicates the Focus Areas in which students are off track.

Students demonstrate mastery of content in Focus Areas by passing Content Assessments. The pacing line displayed in the This Year section for students provides guidance on the progress students should be making on any given day. Students who have passed all Focus Areas to the left of the pacing line are indicated as being on track, while students who may not have passed any number of Focus Areas to the left of the pacing line are indicated as being off track.

The number in large text at the top of this column represents the number of students in this grade level who are on track for all Power Focus Areas in all their courses. In other words, these students have mastered all Focus Areas to the left of the pacing line. You can click this number to see the number of students who are on track for each course, as well as the number of students who are off track for each course.


Where can I find Cognitive Skills data?

To access Cognitive Skills data from a course page or a grade level page:

  1. Navigate to the Students tab by selecting Student Progress Views from the menu on the left and choosing the appropriate grade level, or by selecting this tab from the course page.
  2. Use the Overview drop-down menu to select Cognitive Skills. 
  3. Hover over a Cognitive Skills score to understand its equivalent in terms of grade percentageCOG_SKILLS.jpeg

You can also access Cognitive Skills data from a course page or a grade level page by clicking into the column Courses with <70% cog skill avg. 


Where can I find Focus Area data?

To access Focus Area data from a course page or a grade level page:

  1. From a course page, click Students
  2. Click on the Focus Area progress column to see details about Focus Areas
  3. You can use the Overview drop-down menu to select Focus Areas
  4. Once you're viewing Focus Area data, you can also click All Focus Areas in the upper right corner to select and see data for an individual Focus Area.
  5. Click on the column for a Focus Area to see data for Content Assessments. You'll see data for the most recent content assessment attempt. Click See All Attempts to view Content Assessment data for each attempt on a Content Assessment. Learn more here.

You can also access Focus Area data by clicking into the column for Power Focus Area progress or Additional Focus Area progress

Focus Areas that a student has passed will appear green, while Focus Areas where a student is off track will appear red. Focus areas that a student has not yet passed, but is also not off track, will appear white.
