Data Sharing Permissions

Where can I set and review my data sharing permissions?

Platform admins can set the level of data sharing permissions. There are currently two types of sharing permissions: 

Permission Type Permissions

Assigned teachers and School Leaders only (most restrictive)

Teachers can:

    • Only see students that they teach/mentor directly
    • View as students they teach/mentor

Teachers cannot:

      • View as other teachers
All Teachers and School Leaders at Your School

All teachers can:

    • See all student data at their site, include students' platform supports settings
    • View and edit as other teachers at their site
    • View as all students at their site

To modify data sharing settings:

  1. Click on Setup from the menu on the left
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click the dropdown under Student Data Sharing and select the sharing type

  4. Click Save

 

Where can I set and review my site’s Specialized Support Profile permissions?

  1. Click on Setup from the menu on the left
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click the dropdown under Specialized Support Profiles Permissions Sharing and select who can view Specialized Support ProfilesSSP_mentor_access_tool_dropdown.jpg
  4. Click Save

Once you change the settings so that both assigned teachers and mentors can view Specialized Support Profiles, specialists will receive a banner notification and mentors will be receive a notification in their avatar notifying them of the permissions change.
